There is no doubt that, even with a struggle, Anne Marie Cable could not design a sprinkler installation nor could she service a wet valve and she has no license to ride in a scissor lift. The very mention of hydraulic calculations would send Anne Marie running and yet it is her agility with numbers that has played a key role in the success of Armstrong Priestley Ltd.
Anne Marie applied in 1986 for a position with Armstrong Priestley. Initially she was a junior typist and by her own admission, not a very good one. After a short while she was loaned to the Accounts department and here she seemed to find her niche. After much studying Anne Marie gained her accountancy qualifications and in 1996 became Accounts Manager where her tight control of the purse strings and detailed reporting procedures helped to build Armstrong Priestley in to a sizeable and respected company within the UK sprinkler industry.
In 2000 she became the company’s Financial Director and in June 2016 was appointed Joint Managing Director continuing to guide the company into the future. Outside of work Anne-Marie enjoys spending time with her husband Andy and her family who are very special to her.
