Trainee Fire Sprinkler System Design Engineer

We are seeking to enhance an already thriving Design Department based in our Leeds office.

The role will involve the design of fire sprinkler systems. Assisting more senior members of the design team with the design of fixed fire protection systems to conform to current technical and quality standards and must be able to work on his/her own initiative or as part of a team

Knowledge of fixed fire protection systems is not essential as full training will be given.

Knowledge of mechanical services is not essential but preferred.

Skills/Abilities/Attitudes:

• Design, draughtsmanship and CAD skills (mechanical services experience preferred).  REVIT MEP Experience beneficial but not essential
• Technically up to date
• A good organiser with a pro-active approach to making things happen
• Knowledge of Quality systems and their application

Communication

• To have good communication skills with colleagues

As a Trainee Design Engineer training will be given relating to the design of fixed fire protection system.  For the right person who shows willing to learn and develop their knowledge and skills there is the opportunity (in time) to become a Design Engineer.

Salary is negotiable depending on CAD Experience.
