Public and Private Sectors:

Industrial and Logistics Fire Sprinklers, Manchester

Within this sector, we predominantly work on warehousing projects; both new build and retro-fit. We do, however, cover any storage or industrial structure, no matter the height or scale.

Due to the nature of industrial buildings, we are usually required to fit a purpose-built pump and water tank to supply water to the sprinkler systems.

Our experience in this sector extends to anything from simple mezzanine extensions to complex and fully automated storage systems.

Commercial and Manufacturing Fire Sprinklers, Manchester

Examples of projects we have undertaken in this sector include office blocks, food factories, hotels, fire stations and every type of production facility imaginable. We have designed both retro-fit systems and simple fit-outs. Whatever your requirements for your Manchester facility, we can meet them, even if you are an OH1 risk level and require a town’s main solution to supply water to your fire sprinklers.

Retail Fire Sprinklers, Manchester

High street retailers are still fighting on despite the rise of online-shopping and Armstong Priestley is here to help them keep employees and customers safe. We have secured some high profile clients over the years and have had the opportunity to work on Manchester’s Trafford Centre among other iconic shopping centres.

We work alongside bespoke shopfitting specialists to ensure that our sprinkler systems are suitable for the retail environment, remaining subtle but effective.

Residential Fire Sprinklers, Manchester

The residential sector covers a great range of fire sprinkler projects from tiny bedsits to detached houses, to whole complexes of apartments, care homes and sheltered housing.

Residential buildings often change as they are developed by new owners, and we are here to ensure that fire safety standards continue to be met. Our residential team can provide guidance and support throughout this process.

Armstrong Priestley’s residential fire sprinklers are available in Manchester as a wide variety of system types. These systems are made to BS9251 and EN16925 or Water Mist BS8458/BS8489 standards, among others.

Fire Sprinklers for Education, Manchester

Armstrong Priestley works mainly as a contractor in the education sector, which is facilitated by the M&E market. This has advantages such as access to 3D modelling technology, which allows our designers to better conceptualise how fire sprinkler systems can be installed in the space afforded.

Fire safety is a great concern for schools and universities. Cases of arson are not unusual in these environments, and fire sprinklers are essential to preserve life when such great numbers are at risk. Armstrong Priestley has been supplying this sector since 2000 and has worked closely with local authorities to develop an effective sprinkler strategy that can be adapted to other municipal buildings.

About Manchester City

Manchester city lies within the UK’s second-most populous urban area: the Greater Manchester Built-up Area, which has a population of 2.7 million. The city itself is formed from a continuous conurbation of smaller towns and their urban spread.

The earliest recorded history of Manchester starts around AD 79 with the Roman fort of Mamucium or Mancunium. It became an official city only in 1853, after accelerated growth due to a boom in textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution. Manchester was the first industrialised city in the world and its industry prompted the construction of the Manchester Ship Canal. The canal opened in 1894 and connected Manchester directly to the Irish Sea for trade and transportation of goods.

Today, Manchester is famous for its two world-class football clubs, Manchester United and Manchester City. It also holds The University of Manchester; a public research university that has produced great advances in science and technology, and owns the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jodrell Bank Observatory.
