Armstrong Priestley loses a special friend

Hilary Armstrong 1942 – 2017

We are all extremely saddened to announce the passing of Hilary Armstrong on Sunday 5 March 2017.  Hilary had battled with Cancer for several years, a fight she lost at home with her Family by her side.

It is said that ‘behind every great man is a great woman’ and Hilary was one such woman, who stood and worked tirelessly with our now Chairman, Peter Armstrong to help make Armstrong Priestley what it is today.

Hilary (then Hilary Lee) joined the Company in 1979 and her first job was to acquire a desk, a chair and a typewriter, not to mention carpets and heating. In due course Hilary became Company Secretary, Peter’s partner and in 2012 Peter and Hilary became husband and wife.

At Armstrong Priestley we all know that without Hilary the company would not be where it is today. Her drive for perfection and devotion gave us all the will to make sure that this Company survived its battles and to be in business 41 years after its inception.

Hilary has been and always will be a member of the Armstrong Priestley family. She will be missed by all her colleagues, acquaintances and the many people with whom she has become friends.

We will be offering our support to Peter and Hilary’s family circle through this difficult time and extend our deepest sympathy and thoughts to them all.

Rest in Peace Hilary you will never be forgotten.
