Armstrong Priestley has been awarded a contract to install the fire sprinkler installation to the new distribution warehouse in Doncaster. The warehouse will utilise a number of different racking storage systems including, very narrow aisle racking, cantilever and mini load automated racking systems which handle the tote box storage. The sprinkler installation is also providing protection to the offices, loading canopy and mezzanine floor level. The sprinkler system will be designed to BS EN 12845, High Hazard Category and will use a number of different design densities depending on the type of storage and category of goods. The system will also include foam enhancement, to provide additional protection to the tote box storage area. The water supply will comprise 2 diesel driven pumps which will be delivered to the site preassembled and commissioned in a purpose built housing. This method of delivering a pump house saves construction costs and installation time on site.
