A new netball franchise for the Yorkshire region has been formed to take part in the Fiat Netball Superleague 2012. The team is called the Yorkshire Jets and Armstrong Priestley Ltd are the match ball sponsors for this inaugural season. One of the sports halls at the Leeds Metropolitan University site at Headingley is to be converted into an appropriate stadium to accommodate the growing number of supporters and spectators. This work will be completed in April 2012 and until that time the Jets' home ground will be at the Bonus Arena in Hull.
